Prof. Ali Al Bshabshe is a Consultant Internist and Intensivist with extensive expertise in adult critical care medicine and extracorporeal life support. He earned his MD from King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia, and holds multiple prestigious qualifications, including FRCP (UK), MRCP, EDIC, and certifications from the Saudi, Arab, and Jordanian Boards of Internal Medicine. He completed his fellowship training in Adult Critical Care Medicine at the University of Ottawa, Canada.
Currently, he serves as Professor of Medicine and Adult Critical Care at King Khalid University and Consultant Adult Critical Care Physician at Aseer Central Hospital, Saudi Arabia. He is also the Regional Director for Extracorporeal Life Support Services in the Aseer Region. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held several leadership positions, including Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs, Head of Adult Critical Care, and Director of the Postgraduate Unit at King Khalid University. His professional interests focus on critical care medicine, ECMO, medical education, and advancing life-support services in the region.
